We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen in our Gloucester service for an enthusiastic and committed Administrator to join the team, to help us continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

We are looking for someone who will thrive on working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinic Assistants, Ophthalmic Assistants, Patient Administrators, Nurses, ODPs, Ophthalmic Technicians, Optometrists, and Consultant Ophthalmologists. **What are we offering you?**
- A salary of £20,400

**What will the role involve?**
- Booking patient appointments, ensuring that clinics are full.
- Make reminder calls to patients in a timely manner prior to their appointment.
- Ensure that all clinic correspondence is sent out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure faxes are received by GPs.
- Acting as the central point of contact for all telephone enquiries from patients and clinic staff, resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
- Action all clinic cancellations accordingly as instructed.
- Book new and follow up appointment for outpatients and theatre.
- Create and manage the medical record files and system for patient appointments, including ensuring files are stored and archived correctly.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with internal or external staff at every interaction.
- Maintain a committed approach to continued professional development and clinical governance, including participating in appraisal process.

- Strong administrator who can understand and deliver within a complex working environment.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Enjoys working with a range of people and is able to tailor their approach to a diversity of patient needs.
- Outstanding telephone manner with the ability to adapt approach to different situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Committed to delivery of consistently high standards of administration.
- Ability to work as directed and self-direct utilising own initiative
- Strong teamwork.
- Enjoys the routine and rhythm of a process driven environment.

**Newmedica is a 7 day a week service and flexibility around weekend working is required.**
