The Senior Cost Controller role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selectedas the base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

**The role**

**The difference our new Senior Cost Controller will make**
As a Senior Cost Controller, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary; being based within our Estates department at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Day to day, you'll carry out cost allocation and cost management. In this role you will be required to compile and prepare cost data, while you interface with the Estates Accountant to ensure accuracy of the financial information provided by the Estatesdepartment.

**Essential experience**
- Qualified or part qualified in a CIMA/ACCA accounting qualification or relevant experience.
- You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
- Preparing forecasts and budgets.
