Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Vistry Group, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our residential development projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all costs associated with these projects, ensuring that they are aligned with our business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.

To achieve this, you will work closely with our senior management team and other departments to develop and implement effective cost-saving strategies. You will also collaborate with contractors and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This includes working with our customers to understand their needs and expectations, as well as communicating with our internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all costs associated with residential development projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement effective cost-saving strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including building codes and safety standards.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including a company car or car allowance, private healthcare, and enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a residential development setting.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with industry software and systems, including Autodesk and Excel.
