**About the role**:
As a Community Engagement & Training Officer you will:

- Increase community engagement and fundraising support
- Recruit and retain engagement volunteers.
- Ensure engagement volunteers work within existing safeguarding policies and procedures, data protection and information security, confidentiality policies, lone worker policies, CMS guidance/policies and other relevant policies.
- Develop and expand awareness of support available, from the local service, people affected by crime with partner agencies and community groups.
- Develop and coordinate a range of engagement and promotion activities aligned to the priorities of the service.

You will need:

- Experience of presenting to, training, and developing people.
- Experience of partnership working, engaging with organisations and building relationships.
- Experience of gathering, managing and presenting data in reports and presentations.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.
- Understanding and knowledge around the management of personal data and compliance with data protection legislation including managing disclosures.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- To uphold and promote the values of Victims Support and treat colleagues and service users in a fair and non-discriminatory way
