**The Team**

The Knowledge Hub leads on knowledge management, learning, communications and branding, both within Itad and externally, and plays a key role in maintaining the technical quality of our work. Our growing, multi-disciplinary team includes monitoring and evaluation consultants and learning facilitators, as well as experts on information technology, communications, branding and design. The Knowledge Hub supports staff across Itad to effectively capture and share knowledge, as well as helping staff deliver high quality work through technical support, training and quality assurance. Externally, the Knowledge Hub leads on communications and sharing high quality, innovative MEL assignments, contributing to building the field around the use of evidence in international development.

**Purpose of the role**

As a MEL provider, quantitative skills (sampling, survey design, enumeration, data quality checks, statistical analysis, etc) are a core part of our service offer. This is delivered through a combination of our partnerships with specialist external providers and internal staff.

The purpose of this role is to help institutionalise our knowledge in this area, including building internal staff capacity and networks on quantitative methods, providing specialist support to projects, and helping develop our service offer.

**Main duties, responsibilities and expected outputs**

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are threefold:
**1.Learning and continuous improvement.** Objective: To further embed learning and continuous improvement on quantitative methods by curating, producing and sharing knowledge that builds the capacity of colleagues and the quality of our delivery. For example, on impact evaluation design, sampling and survey design, data collection and analysis. This will require co-developing a realistic programme of activities that will likely include a series of internal talks, How to Notes, Learning & Development (L&D) modules, internal wikis, videos, and other guides or toolkits (i.e., all drawing on lessons from Itad assignments).

**2. Building our service offer.** Objective: To contribute to the on-going evolution of our ‘quantitative’ service offer through thought leadership, pre-positioning and bidding. This requires sharing our learning externally (e.g. blogs, conferences, knowledge products, etc), advising on quantitative designs for bids and inception periods, plus developing our capacity to deliver (such as having an internal peer-support group, network of trusted partners, etc.). We also expect there to be opportunities to innovate by working closely with our Digital-Tech initiative (machine-learning, geo-spatial impact evaluation, data visualisation, etc.).

**3. Delivering a balanced, cross-practice portfolio**. Objective: To deliver a balanced portfolio of Itad projects that maximises the learning potential for the organisation in relation to quantitative methods, while also fulfilling an individual’s professional ambitions. This requires: (i) meeting benchmark / career expectations by selecting assignments and roles that provide the opportunity for ‘learning by doing’ (e.g. projects that involve in-depth or innovative quantitative workstreams); and, (ii) using this as the basis to share lessons both internally (amongst colleagues) and externally (to build our reputation).

The role particularly suits someone who has an interest in strengthening their colleagues’ capacity and supporting organisational learning - whether through formal training or less formal exchanges. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated in a simi
