**About the role**

The College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver exceptional support to staff and students in the Learning Hub across our Havant and South Downs Campus.

You will be required to assist in creating a modern and vibrant learning environment that supports innovation in digital technology to enhance learning, meeting the needs of the curriculum and students.

The post holder will be required to work at both the South Downs and Havant campuses on a rota basis. You will deal with IT related enquiries for both staff and students, as well as providing high-quality resources for all at HSDC, whilst undertaking daily procedures and administrative tasks of the Learning Hub.

Experience of working within a busy study setting/library environment, and with strong IT/digital skills would be an advantage.

25 hours / 40 weeks

**Salary**: Grade 3 Spine Point 11 £23,602.31 (actual salary: £14,475.43)

Contract type: Permanent

**You will be responsible for**
- Ensure the Learning Hub meets the needs of students and staff with an enhanced focus on digital learning
- Ensure the IT enquiries raised by staff and students are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Support and supervise students and staff in the Learning Hub to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Challenging inappropriate behaviour as necessary and using reporting systems to support any concerns or issues arising
- Ensure the health and safety of all students, staff and visitors to the College
- Deliver Learning Hub inductions including a focus on software to support learning to groups of students
- Provide a current awareness service to inform students and staff about new resources including the College’s digital strategy

**You will need**

**Essential criteria**
- Good general education to include Maths and English to GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Library Management System or the willingness to undertake relevant training
- Experience of working in a customer facing role

**Desirable criteria**
- Level 3 qualification
- Customer care qualification or the willingness to undertake
- IT qualification or the willingness to undertake
