We are working with our recognisable, well-established Northumberland based client to recruit a new permanent People Advisor. The role will work as part of the HR team and support stakeholders at all levels in the provision of advice and guidance of all aspects of HR.

Reporting to the HR Manager the main responsibilities are as follows:

- Working as part of the HR team to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Coach and provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR issues including Absence Management; Disciplinary and Grievance issues; Performance Management; Terms & Conditions.
- First point of contact for all generalist HR queries into the department.
- Management of Employee Relations matters including Absence and lower level disciplinaries.
- Provide training and development on all people related activity.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure HR can support the business objectives.
- Develop Policies and Procedures to ensure the effective management of Human Resources within legislation.
- Provide advice and guidance on Learning and Development activity.
- Assist in managing recruitment processes
- Support with generalist administrative and other ad hoc duties when required.

Successful applicants will:

- Have good understanding and experience in supporting all aspects of generalist HR activities.
- Be proactive and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude.
- Be resilient and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Be a confident coach and competent in developing line managers.

Ideally applicants will have demonstrable HR experience at the Officer or Advisor level gained from within a fast-paced and commercial environment. This position may suit an aspiring HR Advisor who is looking to develop.
