We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estates and Valuation professional on a 1-year fixed term contract (hours negotiable - full/part time)

**What it’s like working in our team**:
You’ll join a small and supportive team providing a professional valuation and estates service to the Council including
- Management of a diverse portfolio of over 200 commercial properties
- Management of the councils corporate and operational estate

As well as time working either in the office or from home, you will be out in the community meeting tenants and inspecting our properties.

**You will be supported to carry out the following duties and responsibilities**:

- Commercial property valuation and management, including new lettings, rent reviews, marketing, lease renewals, assignments, debt management, service charge management, repairs, dilapidations etc.
- Acquisitions and disposals of land and buildings.
- Provision of strategic advice to other Departments on property issues.

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for a team member to join us who is self-motivated and has broad experience in all the challenges that working in the property industry can bring.

Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to build up a rapport with tenants and other professionals.

You will be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with at least 3 years post qualification experience in commercial property, particularly rent reviews and lease renewals.

You will have good knowledge of valuation methods and techniques, and of the law relating to estate management.
