We currently have an role for Production Assistant (Manufacturing) to enable the efficient throughput of products in our manufacturing facility.
**Purpose of the job**:To assist production work to agreed protocols using are manufacturing system. Provide support and guidance for the shop floor Team Leaders in completing the work to plan in a timely and efficient manner and communicating to sales any deviation that will affect the customers delivery date.
**Reports to**:Production Manager
**Duties**: As an Production Assistant your responsibilities will include but are not limited to.
- Liaise with the Production Manager, Department Supervisors, Sales, purchaser regarding requirements for material, customer orders and SUBCONPARTS.
- scheduling and intervene as when required to bring deliveries back in line with schedule.
- Responsible for monitoring Production adherence against plan, work closely with Operations.
- Enforce the adherence of Mestec our manufacturing system.
- Co-ordinate and prioritise job orders in line with the business needs.
- Expedite and maintain status reports to the Sales Team.
- Liaise with the Production Manager/ Department Supervisors to update workloads.
- Liaise with the Production Manager to update works orders making sure these are kept up to date daily, and that work orders are being actioned in accordance with customer requirements and scope of work.
- Investigate MES (Mestec) anomalies, ascertain root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Take ownership and drive continuous improvement of internal KPI's, understanding any deviations.
- Provide cover for Office Production Team members in their absence.
- Other duties as and when required.
**Communications**:
The post holder will be in regular communication with:
- Production Manager
- Shop Floor Team Leaders
- Sales
**Competence Profile**
- Good IT skills. Familiarity with ERP systems would be an advantage.
- Product/Process Knowledge.
- The ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and written communication that delivers high levels of confidence in those dealt with.

**Employment & Educational Background**
- Preferably have knowledge of Manufacturing
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems in a ‘make to order’ environment and factory route processing.
**Working Hours**:
Mon - Thurs - 7.30am to 4.30pM/Fri 7.30am to 12.45pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
