Ambulance Support

Why we want you: We need volunteers to support the team looking after our emergency vehicles - these range in size from cars to large vans. You will drive them between Red Cross offices and make sure that their MOT and servicing is up to date.- Tasks: Driving vehicles between office locations and repairers.
- Basic maintenance of vehicles e.g. starting the vehicles, filling windscreen wiper fluid, oil checks, tyre pressure.
- Liaising closely with lead volunteers and co-ordinators to ensure vehicles are maintained to Care Quality Commission requirements.
- Maintain working relationships with suppliers and garages.
- Assisting with stock and equipment.
- Assisting with research and projects.
- Working to support Vehicle User Group.- Skills: Enthusiasm.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Basic IT skills using all Microsoft Office Packages.
- Full UK driving licence with two years of driving experience. It would be advantageous if this included C1 and Towing Trailer categories.- Benefits: Meet new people and be part of a welcoming team.
