**Morrison Energy Services **is currently looking to recruit **an Environmental Advisor** to work within our **Transmission Networks** Division, on our **overhead line **contracts based in Nottingham, covering the UK.

As an **Environmental Advisor **you will be part of our **SHEQ Team**, responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of environmental management procedures and processes to ensure the business is legally compliant with relevant environmental legislation.

**As the Environmental Advisor your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Provide specialist support in environmental risks, advice, training, standard controls and mitigation through project tendering, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and construction stages of a project
- To provide written responses to tender questions including supporting evidence and documentation where required, including risks, opportunities, innovation etc. To ensure costs, projected time and programmes are achievable and suitable to the work package.
- To research, review and gather required information in order to produce required project documentation including, but not limited to Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans, Toolbox Talks, awareness training packages, desktop surveys and occasional site walkover surveys.
- Review of specialist documentation such as consents, RAMS, ecological method statements, tender information etc. to advise and guide project and bids teams.
- To work with the Environment and Sustainability Manager, wider business unit, sector and group to deliver sustainability targets and commitments.
- To assist in the review and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- To work across the business unit teams, Morrison Energy Services and, where necessary, MGroup Services to identify areas of improvement and good practice and dissemination to others.
- To utilise best practice-tools and methodologies in the provision of environmental data gathering.
- Liaison with client, regulatory bodies, stakeholders, community groups and identified individuals.
- Directly obtaining of, or assist in the obtaining of, consents, assents, licences and permits required to undertake works.
- To carry out routine site visits, including surveys, inspections and audits. Output to include survey reports, inspection reports, actions and any other required documentation to drive continual improvement.
- To attend client, project, team and wider business unit meetings as required.
- To collate and report on SHEQ statistics and ensure data integrity as required, including the preparation of reports and statistics.
- To work within established Company policies and procedures.
- To demonstrate safety, integrity and commitment at all times.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Excellent verbal and demonstrable written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and influence others to make decisions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Able to effectively converse and deliver information to the level of the audience.
- Good knowledge of ecological survey methods, assessment techniques, mitigation and control measures
- Demonstrable numerical and information skills
- Good computer literacy
- Working in an environmental capacity in a construction environment
- Collating environmental data and reporting to project personnel and management.
- Assessing proposed environmental improvements and mitigation
- Valid Driving licence within the UK

**Additional Information**
- This role will be predominantly site based, travel across the UK will be expected, as well as attending the office located in Annesley, Nottinghamshire.
