Part Time, Permanent
**Salary**: £25,250 - £26,500
24 hours a week with a degree of flexibility
4 days x’s 6 hours - 9.30am-4.30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch) or 3 days x’s 8 hours - 9am-6pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)**

Our client has been providing quality childcare for over 30 years. Their experienced staff follow a clear development programme to help each child with their social, emotional and physical growth.
They are currently looking for a talented **Finance Manager**to look after all of their financial aspects and to prepare their payroll, budget, monthly management accounts, cashflow forecast, audit etc.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines (Cash flow & management reports monthly)
- Managing budgets, allocating micro-budgets, and monitoring them against targets
- Collating information for the monthly payroll processed by the external Accountants
- Liaising with Accountants (LFF) regarding all payroll enquiries, pensions, and preparation for the annual audit
- Responsible for all purchases, income, cash, and bank ledgers
- Supervise the Office Manager on the monitoring of late payments and management of bad debts to ensure the process for recovery is being followed - report and flag to Business Manager
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
- Reconcile all bank accounts
- Overall responsibility for the accounting records (QuickBooks, and day books where necessary, petty cash)
- Responsible for the preparation of the Annual Budget
- Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
- Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
- Monitor staff sick leave, holidays, and overtime claims
- Do the monthly invoice run with the assistance of the Childcare Managers
- Obtain a working knowledge of Connect Database
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and corporate sponsors and manage Gift Aid
- To work with the Fundraiser and Management team to keep the fundraising spreadsheet up to date so the balance of the fundraising is always available to view
- To work closely with the Business Manager in assisting to drive forward St George’s business strategy for sustainability.
- Attend the AGM and Budget meetings both held once a year (compulsory); and Board meetings (held once monthly), as and when required.
- Participate and assist in Fundraising Events for St George’s.
**Skills, experience and qualifications**:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in use of accounting software
- Experience in managing of finances
