**The role**

We’re now looking for a motivated New Business Broker (Commercial), to join the team here at Ravenhall Risk Solutions, who are part of Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Leeds office, and we offer hybrid working options. Reporting to the Regional MD, the main purpose of the role is to work on our Commercial SME book of clients, working within the New Business team with the aim to maximise sales. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:

- Be responsible for an identified group of clients, working on selective new business opportunities for the SME unit
- To assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions
- Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities
- Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the unit incomes
- Negotiation with insurers to secure most appropriate cover for the clients
- To understand client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
- To ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA

**About you**

As one of our New Business Brokers, you’ll have excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. You will be the type of person who wants to constantly develop, and you can expect fantastic career progression, training & development within the role and Insurance Industry in general. You will also be or have:

- Good general insurance background and knowledge - especially in Commercial Insurance
- Relevant qualifications (e.g Cert CII) or working towards
- Great customer service skills
- Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance
- Worked in a similar role previously, with experience of working with Insurers and clients
- Able to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
- Acturis systems knowledge & experience (ideally)
