Warehouse Manager

We are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to work for a client based in Kingswinford.
The Warehouse Manager will coordinate the activities and operations of the distribution warehouse.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database on receipt of goods transfers from manufacturing facility
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including correct storage and segregation to maximise storage facility and efficient shipment of finished products.
- Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. Planning and organization of over-all warehouse operations.
- Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
- Manual stock checks and date checks of warehouse inventory.
- Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas and load goods on vehicles to be transported.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Operates forklift truck as needed.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
Must have proactive nature, the ability to work efficiently and with initiative without supervision
Must have a clear understanding of Health & Safety
Able to plan and prioritise workload accordingly
Good administrative and customer service skills
Valid vehicle operator's license for forklift truck required
At least two years' work experience in a warehouse required
