This role sits within the Engagement, Marketing and Communications department within Forestry England whose ambition it is to connect everyone with the nation’s forests. We want to raise awareness of Forestry England and inspire people to visit out forests, and increase people’s knowledge of the importance of trees and forests and how we manage them.

In doing this we will bring about a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors, and generate support and behaviour change leading to long-term sustainability for forests, forestry and the environment.

**Job description**:
We are looking for someone to join our campaigns team to develop innovative, engaging and targeted marketing campaigns to inspire people to visit our wonderful forests. This will include leading on planning and delivering our seasonal campaigns to showcase the benefits of visiting forests at key times of the year. You will also support 2 other campaigns officers on the development of exciting family friendly trails, developing new innovative products.

Forests provide an inspiring backdrop for a range of activities and our recreation marketing strategy focuses on raising brand awareness and driving visits to our wonderful forest settings.

The campaigns officer will work with the wider marketing and engagement team to design and deliver exciting seasonal marketing campaigns that encourage visits to our forests. This will include working with external partners and also supporting district based colleagues on the roll out of these campaigns. This role will also support other areas of the business on their marketing requirements e.g. volunteering.

Key Work Areas
- Work with the National Marketing Manager and support two other Campaigns Officer in the development and delivery of national marketing campaigns focused on key marketing audiences.
- Take the lead on working with the wider Marketing & Engagement team to plan and deliver seasonal visitor focused campaigns.
- Drive continuous improvement of campaigns through marketing plans, collaborative working and robust monitoring and evaluation.
- Provide support and leadership to colleagues in districts to deliver high quality campaigns and visitor experiences by overseeing national campaigns to be delivered locally
- Support the management of a number of marketing partnership relationships ensuring that Forestry England is seen as a professional organisation and a great brand to work with.
- Support the development of income generating opportunities including national programmes e.g. events, arts, Active Forests, etc, working closely with marketing leads from these programmes.
- Advise and support on marketing of other national engagement programmes e.g. volunteering.
- Support the delivery of a multi-channel strategy using the most appropriate channels to achieve marketing and communications objectives.
