**About Hope Street**

Hope Street is an exciting, brand-new, purpose-built residential community-based service, designed in collaboration with women, for justice-involved women and their children in Hampshire. Trauma-informed by design it will offer a safe and supportive environmentwhere women and their children can access education, practical and therapeutic support and activities that build confidence, self-esteem and skills and provide the opportunity to build a fulfilling and happy life and play a meaningful role within society.

**About the Role**

The Skills and Enterprise Manager is an exciting new role and is a fantastic opportunity to lead the deign and implementation of training and education programmes that focus on developing and improving life skills and employment skills for justice-involvedwomen.

You will have autonomy/scope to shape the opportunities for the women in Hope Street to learn and develop life-skills and achieve qualifications, oversee the provision of supported housing and further develop the social enterprise offer at Hope Street andbroaden the remit of your team.

As Skills & Enterprise Manager you will lead on developing the Hope Street café as a social enterprise and a training facility for women who come to Hope Street. You will also be responsible for developing other social enterprise activities that will supportthe education and training offer at Hope Street and developing partnerships with local employers to create employment pathways for women in the community.

You will lead on developing the social enterprise team and will assume line management responsibility for the team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the Hope Street café operates safely and that women completing their unpaid work always have the appropriate levels of assistance to keep them safe.
- Regularly refresh the education, training and development opportunities offered at Hope Street
- Seek out opportunities to build strong networks with local employers, including private and public sector companies, who are willing to offer work experience, supported work placements and ultimately paid employment, to strengthen the Hope Street offer.
- Support women to participate in all education, training, and development opportunities available that they are interested in and involve them in the development of new opportunities that offer new challenges for them.
- Ensure that the Hope Street supported housing meets all the required standards and that women receive the appropriate levels of support that continues to be linked to their individual needs.
- Participate in the ongoing review and evaluation of the running of Hope Street, in terms of overall impact and outcomes for women and children, to feed into the five-year evaluation being carried out by Southampton University.
- Provide all team members under your line management with regular support and supervision, ensure they participate in reflective practice sessions, and encourage them to undertake further professional and personal development.

**Knowledge/Skills**

Knowledge of funding streams available to support the development of new and innovative business opportunities.

Knowledge of budget setting and management sufficient to ensure the Hope Street café remains financially viable.

Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance frameworks relevant to business delivery.

Strong crisis management skills and an ability to cope in stressful situations.

Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise activities and responses in order of importance.

Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 to ensure the appropriate management of personal and sensitive personal data.

Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure that our people are aware of their responsibilities.
