**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Providing complex advice and guidance to managers and staff on a wide range of employment issues, to include managing attendance, performance, conduct, complaints of unfair treatment and grievance.
- Managing a caseload of employee relations cases, liaising directly with staff and managers at all levels to bring cases to a timely and appropriate conclusion.
- Advising and supporting managers in effective recruitment and retention initiatives, ensuring it is timely and that fair and equitable recruitment and selection procedures are followed in accordance with Trust policies and relevant employment legislation.
- Liaising with other people, colleagues as appropriate to maintain effective communication links and to ensure that best practice is shared and developed.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Experience of working in the NHS or similar large, complex organisation
- Experience of managing staff and working with staff representatives
- Previous project management experience
