**THE ROLE**
We are looking for a dynamic and organised Engagement & Events Officer who can provide high quality woodland experiences and deliver an exciting year-round engagement and events programme in Scotland. You will be responsible for planning and delivering multiple public and private events both on and off the estate; co-ordinating and delivering a series of corporate volunteering activities, as well as managing and supporting a small team of Trust volunteers who are directly involved with engaging the public in our work.

The role is highly varied and includes developing engagement plans for priority Woodland Trust sites, leading groups in a woodland setting, promoting events and activities internally and externally, careful budget management and close working with colleagues in Scotland and across the UK.

This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Regional Office based in Perth, Scotland. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.

**THE CANDIDATE**
You’ll have experience working with communities, schools and volunteers, leading groups outdoors and planning and organising events, preferably in the conservation sector. You will need to be able to demonstrate superb organisational skills, a thorough understanding of health and safety relating to outdoor events and the ability to nurture meaningful relationships with staff and volunteers.

A confident communicator you’ll have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and inspire others to give time, money and voice to our cause.

Please note a full driving licence is required as is a PVG check and a First Aid certificate. A company vehicle will be provided. You must be able to undertake travel across Scotland as well as nationally, sometimes to remote locations. There will also be evening and weekend work when required.
