We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Pastoral Mentor to join our current pastoral team to work with students to improve attendance, retention and student behaviour on a part-time, fixed-term maternity cover from June 2024 to May 2025.

We require a driven individual with the coaching ability to mentor and support 16 to 18-year-old students to achieve and develop academically and emotionally, who will be able to encourage and motivate learners to succeed to ensure excellence in the learner journey.

Our Pastoral Mentors work closely with our current Programme Achievement Managers to support ‘at risk’ learners in a range of learning settings and must therefore hold the ability to communicate effectively.

To be successful you will ideally hold a youth work/mentor qualification and hold demonstrable experience of mentoring young learners, preferably within an educational setting.
