**Position: Nursing Officer - attending Redhill, Surrey office or Cardiff, Wales offices with option for work-from-home flexibility.**

IMG are searching for a highly motivated nurse with aviation medicine and/or international private medical insurance (IPMI) experience to join our team. IMG is one of the world’s leading international medical insurance companies, providing individuals and corporate organisations the reassurance and assistance services required in the event of illness or injury during their travels for business, leisure or while living overseas.

Position: Nursing Officer
- Management of inpatient and outpatient cases.
- Augmentation and facilitation of the transfer of insured clients & members.
- Maintenance and development of the IMG Europe medical equipment library, ensuring high standards of governance.
- Liaising with and maintaining the database of IMG Europe’s team of escorts.
- Working collaboratively with other subsidiaries of IMG in providing a global and integrated service.
- Provide pre-authorisation services for a range of international private medical insurance clients.

The Nursing Officer role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Registered general nurse on Sub part 1 of the NMC register.

Have studied or working towards CCAT course or equivalent aeromedical retrieval course

5 years post registration nursing experience in an acute field such as ICU/A&E or pre-hospital roles.

Experience in teaching and mentorship of peer groups

Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously with authority, while working as part of a greater team

Experience in aeromedical retrievals

Experience with assistance case management

Demonstrate a sound understanding of normal anatomy & physiology and the impact of disease, illness & injury

Experience with international private medical case management and preauthorisation procedures.

Undertake a 6-month period of training & probation in one of the UK offices.

Experience professional or personal of international travel
