On-site Senior Material Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an On-site Senior Material Controller at Hinkley Point C.
Reporting to the On-site Material Control Manager you will focus on a schedule driven workload, from an offsite coordination team, to enable the control and flow of specific construction material from offsite to onsite.
You will be working as an integrated part of the construction team dealing with, overseeing, and supporting the on-site coordination of material movements and returns to storage, support with escalations and the reporting of KPIs.
You will put to work a team of material controllers in support of the receipt and control of on-site permanent materials.
Overseeing the quality assurance in the receipting and call off process will play a significant part of your responsibilities.

- Starting salary from £40,000 per annum.

- Shift pattern working 9 days across 2 weeks (Monday - Friday on week one then Monday to Thursday on week two).

**Essential Skills**
- Experience or knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical material including the types of storage and handling requirements.
- Good IT, Written, Verbal & Numeracy Skills.
- Competent in the use of MS Excel and Word.
- Good team skills and collaborative qualities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to research and produce information.
- Ability to interact comfortably with blue and white collar.
**Essential Qualifications**
- CITB Managers and Professional Test (must be complete before start date).
- SMSTS/SSSTS or proven management/Supervisory experience (or working towards).
**Site Specific Information**
- You must be able to provide a 3-year work/ unemployment/ education history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
- You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
- The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
