ABEL Power and Control Solutions Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and commissioning of integrated solutions for the control and monitoring of process plant, incorporating multiple speed drives, servo drives, PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic manual/hands-on fitter/assistant for a workshop role ideally with some kind of production experience. Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Workshop Supervisor, you will help facilitate a range of tasks our production staff perform. Ideally for a person who is looking to learn and develop news skills in possibly a new industry/business and environment.

**Key Responsibilities and Key Results Areas**:

- To operate & maintain the WPC (wire processing machine), measuring/cutting cables (including numbering/fitting of crimps/bootlaces/lugs/etc)
- To use cable marking machines
- To use label printing machines
- To help measure cut/fit DIN rail, trunking, components, etc
- To help label devices
- To assist in the mechanical baying/suiting of electrical control panels (including bonding/fitting)
- To assist in the general maintenance of the workshop/building
- Liaise with production staff of their requirements
- Cardboard/unpacking, moving items around the workshop, keep the place tidy/organised

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Time served in workshop/production capacity/environment - (Desirable)
- Clean Current Driving Licence - (Desirable)
- Forklift License - (Desirable)
- Experience of use of hand-tools
- Great communicator
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop
- Organised
