**Maintenance Engineer**
**Permanent Position, 3 positions available, Immediate Start**
**£17-£20 basic hourly rate**
**Shifts
- 3 shift rotation (Earlies, Lates and Nights) and Weekend shift (3X 12-hour shift, days and nights)**
**Overtime available, Paid at time and a half and double time.**

**Are you a Maintenance Engineer? Do you have proven experience working within a high
- The diagnosis of faults, maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return equipment to operational service.
- Support the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.
- Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
- Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are undertaken
- Support the implementation of projects, regarding the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.
- Assist the Engineering Manager to manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties.
- Assist the Engineering Manager to manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal.
- Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations, ensuring company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced.
- Identify spares requirements and log usage.
- Log completion of work on all required maintenance management systems
- Operate Forklift Truck and lifting equipment.
- Work within 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities

**Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience**:

- ONC, City & Guilds, Btec Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification or 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role.
- Proven experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- A solid understanding of engineering, mechanical and electrical drawings, and information.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- A deep understanding Health and Safety practices.
