**Job overview**:
The Project Lead: Data Improvement will be a key role in the organisational Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation programme, working within the EPR Data Readiness workstream. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the validation, cleansing and standardisation of patient-related administrative data within our existing systems. The post-holder will also design and implement data capture processes to ensure the quality of data held within existing systems is maintained to a level required for data migration.

Supporting the creation of a data migration strategy, the post-holder will ensure the EPR Programme delivers the required data quality KPIs required for a successful data migration, including reduced levels of duplicates, validated waiting lists and ensuring there are clear plans in place for close-down activities to support migration.

**Main duties of the job**:
The postholder will be a key role within the Data Readiness workstream with responsibility for delivering sustainable improvements in our data quality. This will include:

- Identifying areas where data quality is poor
- Supporting improvement in data quality
- Developing educational programmes
- Developing data quality insights

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:

- Significant experience of working with health related data, preferably within the NHS
- Expert Knowledge of Data Standards
- Expert knowledge of NHS data flows and datasets

- Ability to design audit programmes, including rationale, monitoring and recommended actions

**Qualifications**:

- Post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience

- Management or Leadership Qualification
