As Head Housekeeper at **The Shireburn Arms**, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the housekeeping department daily, and managing your small team.
- Engaging in a hands-on role, working in rooms alongside your staff, maintaining and promoting standards, leading by example, and training and motivating your team.
- Ensuring all rooms and public areas adhere to company standards and using your experience to improve upon these high standards.
- Managing supplies and stocks, staff rotas, and workloads.
- Being hard-working, friendly, efficient, customer-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Having previous experience as a housekeeper or supervisor seeking to advance.
- Participating in and conducting various housekeeping inventories.
- Representing the housekeeping department positively in daily operations meetings and other required meetings.
Additionally, you should:
- Be experienced in the hospitality industry with a strong customer orientation and understanding of service delivery.
- Have mastered exceptional guest service.
- Possess strong project management and organizational skills, balancing multiple responsibilities.
- Ensure the client’s vision for their stay is effectively executed.
- Oversee and inspect the maintenance and quality of physical items and the appearance of event rooms and foyers.
- Communicate specific tasks or issues to the team, ensuring punctuality, presentation, and organization.
- Conduct handovers with the team, completing necessary paperwork.
- Perform full end-of-shift and security inspections, addressing issues immediately, focusing on cleanliness, and completing all paperwork.
- Set an example for the team by being punctual, well-groomed, and dressed according to James Places’ standards.
- Liaise with Reception, Sales, and Duty Managers to stay updated on bookings and customer requests, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Pay: Up to £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
