CK Group are recruiting for a Biocatalysis Development Chemist to join a global contract development and manufacturing organisation company at their site in Cramlington.
**Responsibilities will include**:

- Introducing new biocatalysis methods into the company.
- Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use of new equipment, using MasterControl.
- Defining and/or demonstrating process route(s), draft process outlines and approve Process Record Sheets (PRS).
- Complying with all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting EHS audits and internal safety/housekeeping audits.

**Background**:

- Degree in a relevant chemical discipline.
- Preferably PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Significant R&D experience.
- Excellent laboratory skills.
- Must be able to operate to cGMP requirements.
