We are looking to recruit a legal assistant to deal with the conduct of summary prosecutions in the Magistrates' Court for non-school attendance. The majority of these cases are dealt with via the single justice procedure.

This role is flexible and staff are mobile, depending on working patterns and business requirements and may work at home, contractual work base, other council locations, partner buildings or some other suitable location.

The role is full time for 37 hours per week, qualifies for membership of the local government pension scheme and benefits from flexi time and generous leave entitlement

The post is initially funded for 18 months and may be extended.
