An opportunity has arisen to appointment a housekeeper to work on the Diabetic female ward C1 within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division.
You will be trained on Induction around the aspects of the role but please read the job description for the full details of the role but the main duties will include:
- Assisting patients with their nutrition and hydration needs.
Moving and handling of a meal trolley.
Ensure ward and patient areas are clean and tidy
Management of stock
Communicating with staff, patients and relatives both verbally and on the telephone, including welcoming to the ward environment

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a high quality service to patients. They will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are insuring the effective provisions of catering, cleaning and maintenance services on the ward. You will also be required to undertake other non-clinical duties to meet individual patient needs as determined by the ward sister/charge nurse and to liaise with support service departments.
To assist the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services in order to properly maintain the patient environment.
The post holder must comply with all relevant policies, procedures and training on infection prevention and control.
