We're currently looking for an **Internal Communications Manager** on a full-time, permanent basis. This position sits within the Internal Communications team, as part of Culture & Engagement. The role can be hybrid based in our Glasgow or London office, or remote within the UK.

**The job**

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following activities:

- Working with People, Culture, Engagement & Organisational Capability to ensure an aligned, robust, carefully scheduled and consistent approach to people-related communications that inspires commitment to our developing culture and engages employees across ACCA with both cyclical, policy-related and transformational people initiatives.
- Working with the Strategy and Governance directorate to ensure policies and compliance matters are appropriately communicated in line with our commitment to ethical dealings, transparency and safeguarding ACCA's reputation. This includes supporting communications relating to our compliance gateway.
- Working with the Finance and Operations directorate to support business continuity and estates-related communications. This includes regular 'staying safe' campaigns, supporting the team to communicate health and safety and compliance matters, and communications to support the retention of our business continuity quality mark.
- Working with the head of internal communications and the rest of the team to clearly identify business partnering needs across ACCA each year, differentiating between these, strategic communications and where teams can be coached to deliver their own communications; and, where appropriate, ensure appropriate and consistent business partnering and delivery of impactful internal communications, collaborating with the internal communications executive to deliver where appropriate.

**Developing, delivering and evaluating internal news**
- Write and issue the full range of internal people and operational news for a global and segmented audience, making use of a range of styles to ensure communications are engaging and informative, suit different channels, and closely adhere to ACCA's brand identity, tone of voice and style guide.
- Provide leaders and line managers with the information they need to disseminate information about culture, operational and governance initiatives through content for leadership information sessions, people managers' hub and other appropriate channels.
- Contribute to the content and direction of people stories and ACCA People, ensuring these drive the ongoing development of ACCA's culture.
- Ensure consistency in planning, delivering and evaluating internal communications, making use of the internal communications guide and scheduling calendar and ensuring adherence to ACCA's brand identity, tone of voice and style guide.
- Develop campaigns and content for - and share responsibility for editing - ACCA's social intranet. Work closely with the wider team to ensure content is impactful, innovative, informative and engaging to ACCA employees.
- Continuously gather internal feedback and scan the wider environment to ensure the adoption of best practices in ACCA's internal communications campaigns.

**The person**

We're looking for someone who has:

- Significant experience in creating impactful communications for different stakeholders, with proven ability to translate conceptual and complex materials into engaging and informative copy.
- A proven track record in planning, developing and issuing communications via a range of channels for a global audience
- Experience acting as a communications business partner for various internal stakeholder teams.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and contribute at all levels with strong negotiating and influencing skills
- An innovator, able to engage and enthuse internal stakeholders around new ideas and ways of working
- Able to work effectively across different cultures with experience working in a global organisation.
- Highly motivated, practical and enthusiastic, able to work with minimum supervision, meeting tight deadlines and working within agreed budgets.
- Flexible team player able to show adaptability in a fast-moving and demanding environment
- Participative, collaborative and open working style consistent with ACCA's values
