**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
You’ll coordinate a multi-functional team (Programme, Vehicle, Engineering, Purchase and Logistics) to ensure a flawless approach to Prototype builds. You’ll support the Lead Planner to maintain each project on the required timings to deliver a clean and successful build start, engaging and raising issues where appropriate and continuous process improvement.

Prototype Build Preparation and Planning combine the key elements of prototype build planning and programme preparation across Prototype Builds. We create, in conjunction with Programme and Vehicle Teams, the strategy for successful prototype builds and are currently in an exciting time whilst JLR expands its product portfolio and embraces change across all aspects of the business.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, project governance & co-ordination with other functions.

Daily requirements of the role include:

- Supporting the Lead Planner to plan and deliver Prototype Builds.
- Maintain a weekly schedule of tasks and track progress
- Support BOM creation/change management to ensure schedule and build robustness.
- Maintain/update PVO workload plan; recommend and communicate changes effectively.
- Supports ongoing development and enhancement of the Prototype Planning processes.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:
**Essential**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems and BOM.
- Comprehensive knowledge of prototype build processes.
- Knowledge of Product Creation & Development System processes, (PCDS)
- An understanding of CAD/GPIRS/WERS would be advantageous.
- Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative to work independently.
- Good Project Management skills, thorough and logical approach to issues
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Represent Prototype Build Preparation & Planning at senior reviews
- Proven knowledge of working with cross functional teams
- Flexible in travelling across JLR Midlands sites
