The role
We are actively seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our team in Leatherhead, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for any bright and commercially astute individual looking to join a successful global company. You will be part of a friendlyand collaborative Leadership team, who are responsible for our business that works in B2B events, market reports and strategic consultancy.

Your main job purpose and objectives in the Finance Business Partner role will be:

- Assist the Director of Finance in providing efficient and effective financial support to the Smithers EU business, most specifically the Smithers Information division and its management team, by taking responsibility for all assigned financial reporting,planning and forecasting requirements.
- Provide a collaborative partnership service to the business leaders to help them better manage their areas of responsibility for improved financial return and accountability. Offer timely and accurate financial analysis, guidance, support and feedback toassist with decision-making, future business development and resource planning.
- Manage and develop finance resources in alignment with the mission and goals of the business so that the quality of financial support provided to the business is continually improved at best value.
- Identify and help to maintain robust systems of control, risk management and cash management seeking improvement where possible.
- Work with peers to foster and develop a strong team culture, including the provision of cover for workflows across areas and support where appropriate. Embrace a vision for creating a positive working environment in order to help with development and successionplanning for a world-class finance team.

- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA or exceptionally experienced.
- A minimum of 3 years experience of working within commercial finance roles, ideally within a business services entity. To include a full breadth of financial responsibilities - reporting, planning, control and management.
- Experience in working with business leaders to improve commercial performance QBE.
- Excellent reasoning & decision making.

- Ability to travel nationally & internationally to meet the demands of the business.
