**Position Overview**: We are seeking a skilled and organized Transport Coordinator to join our team. The Transport Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient transportation of our inventory to and from event locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate the transportation logistics for all event furniture and marquee deliveries and collections.
- Plan and schedule delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Liaise with drivers and delivery teams to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Track inventory levels and update inventory records accordingly.
- Communicate with clients to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or special requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly resolving any delivery-related issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to optimize transportation processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to transportation operations.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in transportation coordination or logistics management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards for transportation operations.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
