We have private woodlands where we deliver Forest School (come rain or shine) by a team of qualified staff - our very own Bear Grylls

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Forest School experience (desirable)
- Forest School Qualification (desirable)

**Responsibilities**:

- To provide a friendly, caring and stimulating environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
- To work within and support the Forest School Staff Team, acting in a pro-active and professional manner.
- To meet the physical needs of all children, encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence.
- To organise the outside environment to ensure that resources and equipment meet the needs of the individual children in the group, encouraging effective learning and independence.
- To support the children in understanding the Forest School rules and how to keep themselves safe.
- To encourage children to interact and work co-operatively with each other.
- To adhere to all daily routines and keep records up-to-date as directed by senior Forest School Staff.
- To support children in keeping themselves warm and dry whilst in the Forest School.
- To adhere to guidance on tool use and sign off documentation accordingly.
- To follow strict codes of conduct for safe use of tools, whilst working with child client group.
- To follow strict codes of conduct for the use of fires for cooking and warmth.
- To actively take part in daily risk assessment procedures along with ongoing daily risk assessments.
- To plan and implement activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
