Social Work Co Ordinator

**Fixed Term for 2 Years.**
**JOB PURPOSE**:
- To work closely with designated teams in order to provide specialist administrative support, facilitating the throughput of work to Business Support, co-ordinating CFS multi-agency support and contact for children, young people and families
- To work with and liaise confidently with a range of internal and external agencies to ensure children receive our services and gather/monitor appropriate information
- It is vital to the future of the department that the post holder is flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing to offer help to employees and treats co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- NVQ Level 2 Business Administration or equivalent administrative or secretarial qualification
- Working in an administrative, financial, secretarial setting (i.e. experience in a range of clerical and financial tasks incl. word processing, filling, photocopying, faxing, message taking, data input)
- The preparation / production of reports, spreadsheets, correspondence and other documentation
- Using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point to a high standard
- Experience of developing and maintaining computer-based and manual record systems
- Organising tasks to meet competing priorities
- Arranging and servicing meetings
- minutes/note taking and producing minutes
- The importance of customer service
- To communicate clearly and accurately by telephone, in person and in writing with a wide range of people, within and outside the Department.
- The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post.
- To work flexibly and to be able to prioritise workloads to meet changing deadlines and quantities of work.
- To be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative (to resolve queries or problems), or as part of a team.
- To work quickly and accurately to deadlines.
- To work without direct supervision.
- To be professional, diplomatic and have a tactful approach.
- To have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- To be able to put together statistical reports including projections and forecasts upon request
- Ability to manage sometimes challenging and potentially confrontational situations with continued professionalism
