**Location**: Hartlepool
**Hours**: Full time (37 hours per week), including some evenings and weekends £28,128.88 plus £40 per sleep-in shift payment, enhanced overtime rates, and mileage allowance

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at NESTS in providing high-quality care and support to children in our residential home. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading and supervising a team of support workers, ensuring the welfare and well-being of the children under our care.
**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and lead a team of support workers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services to children in accordance with their individual care plans and organisational policies.
- Act as a key point of contact for children, families, and external agencies, fostering positive relationships and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans and risk assessments, ensuring the needs and preferences of each child are met.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
- Act as a positive role model for staff and children, promoting a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with children, families, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in residential childcare.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required.
**Essential Car User** - Must have own vehicle and be insured for business use.
