Job Purpose: Reporting to the Projects Director the role will be to ensure compliance with Health and Safety & Quality legislation in all areas of the business. You will be based on various sites closely aligned with the construction industry during the course of the working week (primarily within the London area) the role will therefore require a motivated individual that can advise site management teams on safety matters, and support those teams with the necessary documentation in the form of risk assessment, method statements, inductions, toolbox talks, associated registers, document control and compliance with ISO standards particularly BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and BS EN ISO ISO14001:2015.
**What you’ll be doing as our Health and Safety Officer**:

- Assist with the monitoring of safety & environmental compliance throughout the business.
- Assist in producing and implementing business H&S training presentations as required.
- Promote controls and processes throughout the organisation.
- Review as required risk assessments and management methodologies associated with ISO & health & safety standards.
- Ensure the companies Integrated Management System (IMS) is maintained, and update policies and procedures, in association with current ISO standards, Regulations and business requirements.
- Attend site safety meetings and report on findings.
- Audit projects for compliance with ISO 9001 & Safety standards, document non-conformities and communicate any actions arising.
- Add noncompliance’s in to the companies ticketing system and follow through to conclusion.
- Maintain a presence on site(s) to support and advise management teams on safety compliance.

Moving Forward:

- Attend and facilitate external audits regarding compliance with ISO standards.
- Produce policies and procedures as evidence of compliance with ISO standards.
- Assist in review, creation and implementation of policies, practices and procedures in line with the organisation’s frameworks
- Develop and implement information security awareness and promote safe cyber security practices including GDPR.
- Development, implementation and enhancement information security in line with the business frameworks and industry best practices.
- Maintain and update the content of action logs, non-conformance reports and communicate accordingly to key stake holders.
- Support ISO 14001, 27001 and NACOSS certification.
- Investigate and follow through to completion any complaints or noncompliance’s received.

**What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer**:

- You will have a good knowledge of health, safety and environmental practices and have the ability to communicate legislative requirements.
- You must hold a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- You will have experience in conducting audits and associated reporting of your findings.
- Good communication skill and the ability to deliver presentations on safety and general compliance to ExcelRedstone personnel and external audiences if required.
- The ability to audit in line with safety legislation, company processes and procedures standards / regulations.
- Communicate the finding of the assessment to the Projects Director.
- An environmental management or quality management qualification would be an advantage.
- Comfortable working in association with the construction industry.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
