This well established, Wolverhampton based, access metalwork fabricator is looking for an experienced senior estimator to price and manage clients. We are a friendly, professional company employing 150+ people, possibly the largest and most experienced company of its type in the UK, hence we work on the majority of the major structural steel projects in the land, such as Hinkley, HS2 and Cross-rail as well as working in all the utility sectors.

The company has commenced a growth plan and is on track with its expansion and investment aspirations. As such, we need, to add to our existing capable personnel, to service the growing demand from our clients.

This role is projected at someone with knowledge of fabrication designs and with a commercial eye.

Your role will be to understand client drawings and to price up a range of metalwork projects for clients across a range of sectors in the UK.

Duties will include:

- Reading and understanding architects/ consultants drawings to assess the scope of works
- Determining structural steel and architectural metal work requirements for the project / managing the expectations of the customers
- Doing full estimates / quotations and responding to tenders with project pricing
- Obtaining quotations for any works that need to be subcontracted
- Responsible for all changes and variations to pricing prior to contract award
- Monitoring of variations to original price with contracts and production managers
- Liaison with clients / directors/ contracts managers/ projects managers in weekly meetings
- Preparing material take offs and quantity surveying duties for awarded projects

In order to secure this position you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of estimating in a fabricated steel work and access metalwork environment and be comfortable working with all levels of professionals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
