Interim Purchase Ledger Professional

Search Consultancy Ltd is currently looking to recruit an experienced purchase ledger professional to assist on a data migration project for our client based in south Birmingham. This is an immediate start. This is a great opportunity to work within a newlycreated function and be an integral part of a large scale migration. The initial requirement will be for circa 6 months.
**The Company**
The company are operating a fully hybrid model so professionals can split there time between the office and working from home. Maximum 2 days in the office
**The Role**
As the interim purchase ledger professional you will support the Head of Finance and the AP manager with ensuring all relevant data is cleansed and ready to be integrated. The role requires someone that understands the whole AP process and enjoys investigating,reconciling and then recommending process improvements. This role will work with the senior stakeholder group to ensure the quality of business data in the new system including data from legacy environments. As well as key reconciliations and data cleansingadditional tasks will also include:
- Perform data cleansing and complete necessary checks to ensure accuracy of imported data
- Liaise with the Head of Finance as well as wider operations teams to manage daily queries
- To be an advocate of future improvement initiatives
- Analysing reports for duplicate invoices
- Integration of new suppliers and invoices
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that data is cleansed and future process is standardised
- Ensure key suppliers are accurately maintained to eliminate bottlenecks in the purchase order process
- Liaising with senior stakeholders, procurement department and external suppliers to resolve queries quickly and efficiently
- Review and identify reoccurring issues within process/systems or sites and recommend improvements
As the successful interim purchase ledger professional, you will have:
- Excellent working experience of the end to end accounts payable process
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
- Prior experience of working with data migration or system change projects
