Finance Assistant

**Job Overview**: Reliance Social Housing C.I.C is a not-for-profit registered provider of social housing, regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing. Registered in 2013, reliance has expanded and innovated, providing both social and non-social housing accommodation.
You will be responsible to the Accounts Manager for the day-to-day financial administration across the organisation. This will involve providing support with various tasks including overhead invoices booking, Sage 50 Accounts and the preparation of all supplier payments and staff expenses. This role is ideal for someone who is at an early stage in their accounts career or possibly someone returning to work, as on-the-job training will be provided as part of the induction to familiarise you with relevant systems.
Working within a busy team, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing process. Main duties will include:
- Raising Sales invoices and posting receipts thereof.
- Receiving and logging purchase ledger invoices in Sage 50
- Overhead Invoices booking
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing Excel reports for internal and external use.
- Maintain the housing benefit decision notices process and procedures.
- Maintain the council tax notices and posting to the managing agents
- Preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts.
- Query resolution.
- General Administration duties.
- Complete other duties as requested by the Finance/Accounts Manager.
**Skills and experience**
- Minimum 2-3 years work experience in Accounts/Finance or similar position.
**Essential**:
- Relevant accounting qualification(s), or the ability to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge.
- Excellent numeracy skills & attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Experience in MS Office.
- Experience of Sage 50 Accounts.
