Product Owner

Henderson Scott is working with a software development company in Wakefield, on the lookout for a Product Owner to work with cutting edge technology on products assisting global work-flow efficiency.
In this role you will gather and analyse feature requests, schedule releases and coordinate sprints. To succeed you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to identify user needs, explain difficult concepts to a range of stakeholdersand work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.

- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine the requirements for Product Features
- Develop scope and define backlog items, leverage Jira to structure the backlog that guide the Agile software development team and drive a development roadmap that supports the business strategy
- Own an appropriately prioritised product backlog that front loads value.
- Carry out appropriate Business Analysis for product features, i.e. needs analysis and scope definition, planning and monitoring, requirements elicitation, supporting the quality assurance efforts.
- Attend stand-ups and other scrum meetings (some facilitation will be required)
- Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
- Drive the process of discovering available alternative solutions and selecting the right solution based on business and technical constraints and opportunities
- Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product strategy and communicating the product needs with business partners.
- Support the QA process by assisting in creating acceptance criteria, facilitating the UAT process etc working closely with the Product SME
- Create and maintain a product knowledge base to be used as a single source of truth for all technical and business team
- Work closely with the wider Product team, Product forum and senior management in order to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
