The main role of the Tax & Accountancy Trainee is primarily to:

- Assist in the preparation of personal tax returns and company accounts. To include:

- Processing clients information
- Bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysing information and preparing working papers on excel to assist with final accounts/tax calculations
- Preparation of sole trader, partnership and company accounts
- Drafting personal, business and company tax computations
- Liaising with clients/third parties/HMRC
- General administrative tasks

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Basic working knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and word
- Willing to have verbal and written communication with staff and clients
- Logical and mathematical mindset
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills

**The Person**
- A willingness to learn and be flexible
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Warm and friendly personality with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to use initiative
- Understanding that the client is at the heart of everything we do
- Willingness to participate in a training programme to study towards AAT
