The Technical Services Department within pharmacy opened in September 2012 and hold an MHRA ‘Specials’ manufacturing licence. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy, non-sterile and pre-pack labelling and repackaging of medicines. The Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) department to support the MHRA licence and also provide a Quality Control support in regard to the preparation of radio pharmaceuticals for the Trust.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Bank Assistant Technical Officers to our team in Technical Services.

The successful person will be required to work as part of our team of Assistant Technical Officers. Your main duties will include cleaning and disinfection of all areas; dispensing and raw material set-up for products prior to preparation; re-packaging of materials including resuscitation trays; general administrative duties; disinfection of raw materials. This will involve working in a controlled environment and wearing protective garments and shoes. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and have good manual dexterity.
