You will work in a homely, safe, and nurturing environment, dedicated to enabling individuals to achieve autonomy and choice in the support and opportunities they pursue. Whether you have studied care or have personal care experience, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact. Full training will be provided, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain qualifications, including an SVQ 3 in care.
In this role, you will:
- Support individuals in engaging with their local community and using local resources.
- Help residents experience greater choice and participation in their support arrangements by involving them in developing their support plans.
- Provide individually tailored support programs, enabling residents to achieve greater control over all aspects of their lives by assessing and planning their support needs and involving relevant individuals, such as family and care managers.
- Assist residents in experiencing greater choice over their living environment by regularly reviewing their needs and wishes.
- Facilitate residents' contributions to the development and policy of the service by consulting with them on a regular basis.
- Encourage and support residents in building a greater circle of informal supports in their lives through increased participation in their local community.
