Sheffield, United Kingdom University of Sheffield Full time

The School of Clinical Dentistry at Sheffield is one of the top Dental Schools in the UK and enjoys a national and international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. We have an excellent opportunity to join us as Dean. If you are an academic leader with an outstanding reputation in a dentistry-related discipline, gained through a clinical or non-clinical background, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

As Dean of the School of Clinical Dentistry, you will play a vital role in achieving our university vision and strategy to deliver life-enhancing research, innovation and education that not only transforms the lives of our graduates, but shapes the world we live in.

Working within an ambitious, inclusive, collaborative community, you will provide leadership for all activities in the School, supported by your Executive Team of academic and professional services staff. You will also contribute to the direction of cross-university strategic projects through regular meetings with the University Executive Board.

You’ll have the ability to plan and act strategically along with excellent judgement and decision-making skills. The ability to communicate effectively and engage colleagues within the school will ensure successful delivery of the vision and strategic plan.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
