Cardiff, United Kingdom Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 6 Counsellors to join the Primary Care Counselling Service (PCCS), at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. The post-holder will be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team of counsellors, IPT therapists, CBT therapists, trauma counsellors, consultative supervisors and lead counsellors.

We are a "digital first" service so you will work remotely (homeworking) using our Attend Anywhere platform, and/or from one of our locality clinics to provide in-person appointments.

Our team of enthusiastic counsellors and therapists provide high intensity counselling and psychological therapy interventions for people with less severe and more severe depression, depression with comorbid anxiety, and depression with clinical complexity.

Within our service we offer a range of interventions depending on the needs of the client. Referrals are made by GPs to PMHSS for a part 1 assessment, and then to us. We are part of a large and progressive Health Board and sit within the Directorate of Psychology and Psychological Therapies. We support CPD and offer regular group and individual consultative supervision.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
