Lead Chaplain Pastoral Support

As a Chaplain in our NHS Trust, your key responsibilities will encompass: Providing Holistic Support: Offer comprehensive pastoral, spiritual, and emotional support to patients, staff, and visitors, respecting diverse spiritual and cultural backgrounds. Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to crisis situations, providing immediate pastoral care and support in emergencies. Developing Community Links: Build and maintain relationships with local faith communities and spiritual groups to enhance the support network available to our service users. Multifaith Room Management: Oversee the upkeep and respectful use of multifaith rooms, ensuring they remain welcoming spaces for individual reflection and communal worship.
**Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a team of volunteer chaplains, ensuring they are well-supported and effectively integrated into the Trusts pastoral care services. Service Development: Actively contribute to the development of the Trusts spiritual care policies and practices, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our diverse community. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to staff on spiritual care, enhancing their understanding and ability to support patients spiritual needs. Personal Growth: Engage in continuous professional development, keeping abreast of best practices in spiritual care within healthcare settings.
