Organisation Context

YMCA Worcestershire is committed to supporting all young people, particularly in times of need. We are part of a worldwide Christian Movement, our local vision is to enable people to live, learn and share to build a brighter future in mind, body and spirit. We are a registered social landlord providing housing and supported services to young people and a range of community and other services at a variety of locations.

We manage a number of accommodation settings within Worcester with varying levels of support provided. Your role will be based in one of these where up to 15 residents live and you will be required to provide pastoral care to all residents, as well as fulfil the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Support young people to thrive and overcome barriers
- Have trauma informed practice
- Understand and value the needs of young people
- Being a caring and trusted adult that can motivate and encourage young people to succeed
- De-escalate and manage challenging behaviour
- Work as part of a team
- Carry out risk assessments and manage safeguarding
- Contribute to support planning and recording
- Be accountable, reflective, passionate, empowering and caring.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 - 40 per week

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
