Fox Morris are working with Plymouth City Council in relations to finding a Tribunals Officer to start work ASAP

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with the preparation of cases, through the analysis of complex information, working in partnership with legal services, families and colleagues in Education, health and social care.
- Provide support in case management of SEND appeal related cases. To ensure that the Council discharges its responsibilities effectively in relation to statutory appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST).
- Present cases at mediation/dispute resolution meetings, making decisions about the action plans arising from these meetings and taking responsibility for the actions as directed in the mediations and dispute resolution meetings.
- Ensure all documentation linked to SEN appeals is distributed appropriately and within specified time restraints. Ensure the timely dissemination of Orders and decisions to relevant parties.
- Assist with preparations for Telephone Case Management Hearings as may be required by the SENDIST. Coordinate allocation and attendance processes linked to mediation and resolution of all disputes relating to the SEND tribunal process, including the JADR process (Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolutions Hearings
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required.

You will be required to work Monday-Friday (9:00-5:00pm). This is based on a 6 month contract and the pay negotiable.

Pay: £300.00-£350.00 per day
