**SALARY**: £20,000 per annum + Waking Nights Allowance + Benefits

**LOCATION**: Newton Poppleford, Sidmouth, Devon

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent (Part Time positions also available)

**WORKING HOURS**: 35 hours per week on a rota basis (3-night and 4-night shifts alternate weeks)

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of people with mental health needs?

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Night Support Worker with excellent communication skills and knowledge and an understanding of mental illness.

Working as a Night Support Worker you will join a friendly team working in a home from home environment where no two days will be the same.

As a Night Support Worker you will help the service to support people in gaining the skills they need to live independently.

DUTIES

**Your role as a Night Support Worker will include**:
Prompting with personal care

Supporting with medication

Providing encouragement with household tasks such as laundry, cooking and cleaning

Supporting to learn new skills, achieve their goals and ambitions

Assisting people pursue their interests and hobbies

Working with other mental health professionals and the family/friends of the person being supported

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Strong communication skills

An understanding of mental illness

A passion for making a difference

Willingness to study for an NVQ in Health and Social Care
