**Job Title**: Buyer/Purchasing Officer
**Location**: Newry/South Armagh
**Salary**: £25K-£30K
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join an Engineering Company as a Buyer/Purchasing Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for the company's operations.
**Responsibilities**:
Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services as required by the company.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Manage supplier contracts and agreements.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Work with internal teams to identify purchasing needs and requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Proven experience as a Buyer/Purchasing Officer or similar role.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Newry City Centre, County Down: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
